The EPIC program is targeted to those in their early years as a professional in the construction industry in the Washtenaw County area. The continued success of your firm and the local commercial construction industry depends upon our ability to expand the skills of individuals who are new to the industry, or their role within it, and to prepare them for the professional leadership roles of tomorrow.  The Washtenaw Contractors Association’s Emerging Professionals in Construction Program (EPIC) can help to build and support leaders in your organization.  

WHO Should Participate? 

EPIC is targeted to those in their early years as a professional in the construction industry including:

• Those in one of their first positions after completing their education
• Those shifting from a career in a different industry
• Those new to the construction industry in this geographic region
• Trades people who have recently moved into management positions

The EPIC program is conducted over nine monthly sessions September through May.  Morning (8:00 AM – 11:00 AM) sessions are held on the second Thursday of each month (September-May).  Participants also support the WCA's JUST BUILD IT! Construction Career Expo for middle and high school students in the Fall and are recognized at the WCA Annual Meeting in the Spring. Attendance at a minimum of seven of the nine sessions is required for graduation.
